What does it mean that you are a Master Builder?
Being a Master Builder means we are part of a trusted industry association that upholds high standards of workmanship and best practices. Master Builders must meet strict criteria, giving you confidence in our expertise and professionalism.
What does a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) offer?
A Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) is certified in New Zealand to carry out or oversee restricted building work, ensuring your home meets all legal and safety standards. Our LBP certification means we have the skills and experience to deliver high-quality, compliant builds.
What would be the typical overall process?
The process typically involves these steps:

Initial Consultation – We discuss your project's general requirements and our availability to carry out the work.

Design & Planning – You can provide plans from your architect or designer or work with us to create a design to be drawn up.

Quote & Contract – We offer a detailed quote and contract outlining costs, timelines, and responsibilities.

Council Approvals & Permits – Building permits or resource consent* must be obtained before the building commences. (* if required)

Construction Begins – We start building your home, keeping you informed throughout the process.

Final Inspection & Handover – Once the build is complete, we conduct a final walkthrough, ensure all work meets our high standards, and hand over the keys to your new home.
What sets you apart from other builders?
Our family-run business values quality results, transparent communication, and a personalised approach to every build. Our focus on attention to detail and working closely with clients ensures a smooth building experience.
Have you built homes similar to what I'm looking for?
We have experience building various homes, from cost-effective basic builds to architecturally designed masterpieces. Let us know your vision, and we can show you examples of similar projects we've completed.
Do I need to provide plans?
You’re welcome to provide plans from your designer, or if you need a starting point, we can work with you to develop a concept that can be passed on to a designer for professional drafting.
Can you work with my architect or designer?
Absolutely! We collaborate with architects and designers to ensure your home is built to your specifications.
How much will my build cost?
The cost of your build depends on its size, design, materials, and site conditions. After discussing your project and requirements, we provide a detailed quote. Contact us for a free consultation.
What is included in your quote, and what could cause the price to change?
Our quote includes all labour, materials, and standard fittings specified in your plan. Price changes may occur due to design alterations, material upgrades, unforeseen site conditions, or council requirements. We always discuss any changes with you before proceeding.
What payment schedule do you require?
Payments are typically made in stages, including deposit, foundation, framing, lock-up, and completion. We will provide a clear payment schedule in your contract.
Are there any hidden costs I should be aware of?
No. We believe in transparency and will outline all expected costs upfront. If any additional expenses arise, we will discuss them with you before proceeding.
How long will my project take?
Timelines vary depending on the size and complexity of the build. A standard home build typically takes 6–12 months, while renovation projects can vary too. We provide an estimated timeline before construction begins.
Can I choose my own finishes, fixtures, and materials?
Yes! We offer a range of finishes and fixtures, but you're welcome to select your own to personalise your home. We'll guide you through the selection process.
Who handles submitting the building permit?
We can manage all required permits and council approvals to ensure your build complies with local regulations.
What happens if I want to make changes during construction?
Changes are possible, but they may affect costs and timelines. We discuss any requested changes with you and provide a revised quote before adjusting.
